The Weitz Company is looking for an experienced Project Safety Coordinator to be located on a hyperscale data center project in Port Washington, WI!

What You'll Do:

  • Provide administrative support to the project team (i.e. data entry, filing, proofreading)
  • Maintain and organize safety records, reports, and documentation to ensure compliance.
  • Schedule and coordinate safety meetings and training sessions. Document meeting notes and distribute to attendees.
  • Input safety-related data into systems and prepare reports on safety metrics, incidents, and training completion.
  • Assist in the documentation of incidents, accidents, and near-miss incidents, collecting and filing documented findings and preparing reports as needed.
  • Assist with filing, tracking, and documentation of worker's compensation claims.
  • Help organize safety training programs for employees, ensuring all staff are current and informed about training needs through available communication avenues.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies, procedures, and presentations. Updating as needed.
  • Provide support for new hire orientation
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


     What We're Looking For: 

    • Education:
      • A high school diploma is necessary for this position.
      • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. 
    • Experience:
      • A minimum of two (2) years of administrative and/or project coordination experience is preferred. 
      • Experience in construction, safety, healthcare, and/or worker’s compensation is highly preferred. 
      • OSHA 10 or 30 preferred, or the willingness to obtain upon hire. 
    • Skills:
      • Attention to detail & highly organized 
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills
      • Ability to multitask 
      • Demonstrate professionalism, tact, and diplomacy while handling sensitive and confidential matters 
    • Technology:
      • Proficiency in basic computer software programs such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. 
      • Training will be provided on company standards.
