The Weitz Company is hiring a Workday Solutions Analyst join our Information Technology (IT) team. This new position will serve as a liaison between technical staff and the functional group by understanding business requirements, processes, and system functionality.  This role will focus on supporting Workday and related business processes through ticket resolution, testing, documentation, configuration support, reporting coordination, and project execution. What You’ll Do:

  • Support Workday-related tickets, service requests, enhancement requests, and user questions
  • Triage issues by gathering details, validating expected behavior, researching root cause, and coordinating resolution with internal teams or vendor partners
  • Assist with Workday configuration, business process updates, security role changes, and system maintenance
  • Support Workday implementation, stabilization, and ongoing operational activities across functional areas
  • Partner with functional owners to document requirements, current processes, future-state needs, and support procedures
  • Create and maintain Workday documentation, job aids, testing scripts, issue logs, decision logs, and support runbooks
  • Assist with system testing, including basic test case creation, user acceptance testing coordination, defect tracking, and validation of fixes
  • Validate system changes by comparing results against business rules, expected outcomes, and source information
  • Support data review, data cleanup, and data validation activities related to Workday processes and integrations
  • Coordinate communication related to system changes, known issues, testing needs, outages, and support expectations
  • Help identify process gaps, recurring issues, training needs, and opportunities to improve support quality
  • Provide advanced support for escalated business system issues
  • Collect, evaluate, and prioritize business enhancement requests; identify process improvement areas
  • Assess the impact of business requests related to applications, integrations, reporting, security, and data flow; present findings to IT management
  • Read, understand, and apply complex technical and functional information while explaining information in a way others can easily understand
  • Keep abreast of Workday functionality, business system practices, and relevant technology; educate team members on findings
  • Create, or assist with, project management and business analysis documents, including project plans, schedules, tasks, requirements, test plans, and support documentation
  • Document all aspects of assigned systems, including configuration, security, integrations, vendor contacts, procedures, changes, and disaster recovery considerations
  • Contribute to all project phases: plan, analyze, design, build, test, deploy, and support
  • Drive collaboration among internal and external team members, business stakeholders, and vendor partners
  • Establish test environments and thoroughly validate changes prior to deployment
  • Mentor others on system support, documentation practices, problem resolution, and project execution

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience with Workday required including 3 years of technical experience
    • Associate’s degree or higher in IT, business, human resources, finance, accounting, or related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Skills:
    • Analytical with the ability to solve problems and think critically
    • High level of confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information
    • Self-motivated with strong time management skills
    • Ability to prioritize and balance competing needs
    • Adaptable with a high attention to detail
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to support users, document processes, troubleshoot issues, validate system changes, and drive process improvements
    • Business acumen and professionalism
  • Technology:
    • Highly proficient in Workday
    • Familiarity with HRIS, ERP systems, reporting tools, integrations, role-based security, testing practices, and business process configuration preferred
    • Proficiency with enterprise business systems, service request or ticketing tools, Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and documentation tools Ability to learn additional specific job-related software upon hire 
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Must be able to work in the office 4 days per week – position allows the ability to work remote 1 day per week
