RESPONSIBILITIES
The Weitz Group LLC (West Des Moines, IA) is seeking Project Managers I (multiple openings) to assist in profitably managing all administrative and field construction activities related to assigned projects. The position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field, and five years’ experience in performing construction project management, or in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree and five years’ experience, the employer will accept a Master’s degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field and three years’ experience in performing construction project management.
The experience must include:
- Ground-up and renovation
- Scheduling subcontractors as well as serving as an owner liaison
- Project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, or P6)
- Risk management plan development and financial risk management
- Creating preliminary schedules, determining bid strategy and solicitation, detecting potential constructability issues, leading transition to operations, and managing buyout process
- Personnel management
- Supervising and managing RFIs, submittals and shop drawings, procurement, and owner training
